ATD Simple Ladle Heater with flame detection

ATD ladle heaters are custom built to your application. Our Engineering team will start with your ladle or pouring box design and develop a new lid with various insulation/refractory linings to accompany the combustion system.

ATD can include the following features:

  • Modulated or Unmodulated gas/air control

  • Complete Flame safety including UV scanner/ Flame rod, and high/low pressure switches.

  • Wide range of BTU’s

  • Automatic Spark Ignition

  • This is available on ALL ladle heaters

Modulated Ladle Heaters

  • ATD’s Modulated ladle heaters have fully automatic temperature controls and turn down. Once the heater reaches the temperature set point, it will throttle down and hold the temp. This is the most efficient ladle heater ATD produces, and we have worked with gas utility companies to determine cost savings for our customers. Some of these studies have shown that when using a Modulated ladle heater, you can reduce your gas and compressed air consumption by a third in comparison to a simple ladle heater.

  • Many customers use the ATD modulated ladle heater for baking out new refractory, as it also has full ramp/soak features that can be uniquely programmed for each ladle or pouring box.

Unmodulated Ladle Heaters

  • Our unmodulated ladle heaters all have the same flame safety as our modulated versions, but the temperature is not controllable. We have implemented timers into these systems so that customers can avoid overheating a ladle or pour box.

Simple Ladle heaters

  • This type of ladle heater has minimal controls and safety features. The simple ladle heaters are compact and can be adapted to fit anywhere in your foundry.
